Claremont Rd - Villanova, PA.
This residential interior reflects a bold, highly personalized approach driven by the client’s appetite for originality. The design embraces color, pattern, and expressive form, avoiding anything conventional or formulaic.
A dramatic Japanese‑inspired wallpaper serves as the conceptual anchor in the dining room, guiding the selection of modern furnishings, sculptural lighting, and contemporary artwork. Each element was chosen for its ability to contribute character without visual excess—playful, minimal, and intentionally irreverent.
Key spaces evolved organically with the clients’ changing needs. A home office designed with custom millwork was later transformed into a nursery, demonstrating the flexibility and foresight embedded in the original design.
Throughout the residence, the emphasis is on forward‑thinking interiors with personality, balancing restraint with moments of surprise.

Haverford Basement, PA.
Located within a historic Horace Trumbauer–designed mansion, this project transformed a flood‑damaged basement into a series of richly detailed, multifunctional spaces. The design reconciles historic gravitas with modern living, restoring classical character while introducing contemporary utility.
At the heart of the project is a bespoke library conceived as a quiet retreat. Deep green tones, tailored upholstery, and custom millwork establish a sumptuous, club‑like atmosphere. A concealed Murphy bed—designed to resemble a traditional card catalog—blends functionality with historic reference, allowing the space to transition seamlessly between private library and guest accommodation.
Furnishings were selected to evoke a vintage sensibility while remaining newly fabricated, reinforcing longevity and comfort. Personal collections and inherited artifacts were carefully integrated, lending narrative depth and authenticity to the space.
This basement renovation demonstrates a sensitive balance between heritage preservation, storytelling through objects, and contemporary comfort.

Rittenhouse Sq. Philadelphia, PA.
This Center City apartment renovation focused on reimagining an existing furnished residence without major construction, prioritizing thoughtful updates over full replacement. The design strategy centered on giving new life to well‑proportioned pieces through reupholstery, selective replacements, and layered finishes.
In the living and dining areas, original furniture with strong contemporary lines was softened through the introduction of textured, natural fabrics, grounding the space with warmth and tactility. Vinyl dining chairs were reupholstered in a neutral tweed, balancing the stark black dining table and reinforcing a more timeless, lived‑in aesthetic. A new area rug and sculptural chandelier anchored the dining zone, while tailored drapery completed the composition with softness and vertical rhythm.
Bathrooms were refreshed through surgical design interventions, maintaining existing layouts while elevating the atmosphere. Chrome fixtures and decorative elements were replaced with warmer finishes, contemporary lighting, and a refined mirror selection, creating cohesion and understated elegance.
The result is a layered, restrained interior that respects the original framework while expressing a more curated, personal sensibility—a case study in minimal intervention with strong visual impact.
